Durga Puja

Powai Bengali Welfare Association was formed in 2006 with the purpose of enhancing cultural and social harmony, organizes its Durga Puja festival at Hiranandani Gardens, Powai. The Durgotsav was first organized in the same year and has since emerged as one of the biggest and most popular pujas in Mumbai.

Mission Swayam Siddha

In keeping with PBWA’s primary objective of taking up social initiatives to make a difference, the organization initiated a movement called Mission Swayam Siddha (MSS)  in 2007, for the underprivileged section of the society, with the objective to empower economically and socially disadvantaged women of our society.

Village Upliftment

Supporting malnourished villages through the provision of breakfast to school children, distribution of exercise books and pens, provision of drinking water and supply of solar lamps.

Other Social Initiative

Sports with a Cause: Annual Sports Meet with children from different NGOs working with under privileged children and Cankids – a society dedicated to change for childhood cancer in India.
