Powai Bengali Welfare Association was formed in 2006 with the purpose of enhancing cultural and social harmony, organizes its Durga Puja festival at Hiranandani Gardens, Powai. The Durgotsav was first organized in the same year and has since emerged as one of the biggest and most popular pujas in Mumbai.
Village Upliftment: Supporting malnourished villages through provision of breakfast to school children, distribution of exercise books and pens, provision of drinking water and supply of solar lamps. Sports with a Cause: Annual Sports Meet with children from Cankids – a society dedicated to change for childhood cancer in India.
Powai Cine Club (PCC) was set up in 2013 to promote film appreciation in general through the screenings of contemporary and classic films from across regions, languages and genres.
