Events & Updates of Durgotsav
For Bengalis and those who have a connect with Kolkata or Bengal, Durga Puja is more than a religious festival. It is an emotion, a culmination of a long wait each year, a part of growing up , “notun jama”, “pujor gaan” , brushing up lost skills for the cultural programs , getting together with loved ones , lots of good food, adda and much much more.
PBWA celebrated its first Durga Puja or Sarvajanin Durgotsav in 2006 to give the community in Mumbai a chance to revive and recreate those fond memories and has been organizing the Powai Sarvajanin Durgotsav every year since then , at Hiranandani Gardens , Powai. In the last 15 years, the Times Powai Sarvajanin Durgotsav has become a key destination in every Mumbaikar’s puja hopping map with thousands of visitors every day. Not just that, it features as one of the biggest, most visited Durga Pujas outside Bengal , in almost all Puja parikramas and is a pujo for all – with participation across communities, walks of life, location (thanks to our virtual pujo, we now have visitors from all corners of India and even across the world).
